I'm going to be honest: a lot of people expect this to be all "safe space, journey, healing." I'd rather just tell you what I'm actually like to talk to.
I'm direct, but not cold. I pay close attention. I remember what you said three sessions ago and I'll bring it up when it matters. I don't do fluff, and I don't pretend everything is fixable with positive thinking. Some things are hard, and they deserve to be treated that way.
My focus areas are low mood, self-worth, and finding purpose. A lot of the people I talk to are dealing with a kind of quiet dissatisfaction. Life looks fine from the outside, but internally, something isn't clicking. They might feel dulled out, disengaged, or like they're just going through the motions. If that sounds familiar, I can help.
I also spend a lot of time on the stories people tell themselves. You know the ones: "I'm not good enough," "I should be further along by now," "Everyone else has it figured out." Those narratives run deep, and they shape more of your daily experience than you might realize. We'll look at where they come from and whether they're actually true.
Sessions with me won't follow a predictable script. Sometimes we'll dig into something from your past. Sometimes we'll focus on a situation happening right now. Sometimes I'll give you something to reflect on between sessions, sometimes I won't. It depends on what's useful.
If you're looking for someone who will be real with you, not just agreeable, I think we'd work well together.
